ABOUT BEACH DUNES
Beach Dunes Eats and Arts is located within Beach Green Dunes 11, a new affordable housing complex in the Edgemere community of Far Rockaway, Queens. Thanks largely to the generous support and advocacy of Queen Borough President Donovan Richards, the project will expand TCAH’s food distribution services to include a direct “farm-to-table” café that will bring affordably-priced fine dining to the community. The café incorporates ingredients sourced from our nearby Far Rock Farm and our local suppliers network.
Beach Dunes Eats and Arts launched as a café serving nutritious breakfast and lunch options and will evolve to include an immersive culinary arts job training program. This model will increase community capacity for highly skilled workers who will be trained in a number of food production, food safety, and food business practices.

Hunger and poverty are far too common in the Rockaways. Our collective engagement in community reinvestment and workforce development programs has the power to move people closer to achieving stable employment and a living wage. We are working to infuse this community with heart-healthy food options and economic opportunities to advance equity and fight to end hunger and poverty.
Join us in reforming this community’s foodscape in the most enjoyable way possible: eating good food!
